Since the beginning of July, the Philanthropy Charitable Foundation of the Serbian Orthodox Church has launched the humanitarian SMS number 3838, enabling citizens to support those in greatest need through a simple text message.

By sending an SMS to 3838 and selecting the appropriate message content, donors can support one of the four humanitarian programs:

• Message content "1" – "Saint Sava Classroom – You Are Not Alone", a program supporting children without parental care and empowering them to live independently.

• Message content  "2" – "Mlekopitateljnica" Program, providing assistance to children who have lost one or both parents by helping meet essential needs such as school supplies, food, clothing, footwear, heating, and other basic necessities.

• Message content  "3" – Support for the "Saint Joachim and Anne" Shelter for Adults and the Elderly in Kragujevac, which provides care and assistance to people experiencing homelessness, those at risk of homelessness, and other vulnerable individuals.

• Message content "4" – Assistance for low-income families through the provision of basic food supplies, with a particular focus on flour for bread.

The donation amount is 200 RSD per SMS message.

The humanitarian number 3838 is available through all mobile network operators in Serbia, making it easy for everyone to contribute and support these important programs. SMS messages are charged according to the applicable mobile operator's pricing plan.

Every message makes a direct contribution to improving the quality of life of the Foundation's beneficiaries.
