ALMIT – Education is the strongest strength!

Philanthropy started ALMIT international project in January 2018, with eight partners from Austria, Bulgaria, Turkey and Serbia. The EU funds the project. With support from the Commissariat for Refugees and Migration Republic of Serbia, migrants are learning their first words in the Serbian language.  

Forty migrants in Tutin Asylum Centre since March 2019. attend the course of the Serbian language, civic and intercultural education, organized by Philanthropy, Belgrade Open School and Sid Municipality, as part of the ALMIT project.

In Sid Reception center courses of the Serbian language, civic and intercultural education started in April. So far, 50 persons, divided into two groups attend the lessons during working days.

Migrants from Bogovadja Asylum Center as well have the opportunity to take part in the course of the Serbian language, civic and intercultural education. All interested in this educational course are provided with transportation to Mionica Cultural Center where the course is taking place.
