CONTINUATION OF COOPERATION WITH AUSTRIAN PARTNERS

On 1 September 2021, Philanthropy lounched a new 18-month project " ASSIST – Action to Strengthen Solidarity in Serbia and Moldova in Times of COVID 19 to Protect Older People’s Health and Wellbeing." The project is implemented in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Social Affairs, Health, Care and Consumer Protection of the Republic of Austria and the organisation Brot für die Welt. The project includes activities on the territory of urban and rural areas in the region of the cities of Kragujevac and Kraljevo and the municipality of Ruma.

The project targets older persons, who, in addition to the licensed Home Help service, will have the opportunity to participate in computer training specifically tailored for their needs, as well as in creative workshops. Older people will also receive diverse health care services, provided by mobile teams of specialist medical doctors, while part of the activities will be focused on raising awareness on gender-based violence.
